RCB’s back to back victory comes to an end against Gujarat Titans. Let’s dive deep and analyze the game inch by inch.
RCB vs GT
RCB vs GT: GT came in with a plan to choke the RCB batting line up and did that perfectly. Phil Salt, Kohli, Padikkal, Patidar, Livingstone & Jitesh Sharma. None of the above mentioned players were able to break the GT bowling attack in the first 10 overs. Kohli (7 off 6), Padikkal (4 off 3) & Phil Salt (14 off 13) all lost their precious wickets in the powerplay. Captain and the Man in form Rajat Patidar is not any different to the top order batsmen. He got out for just 12 off 12 trying to take on Ishant Sharma. Livingstone and Jitesh Sharma made a solid partnership until Jitesh got out in Sai Kishore’s magic. Kural Pandya did not last long. It was 15th over when TIm David entered the pitch. And it was time to accelerate the innings. Livingstone and David did their best by scoring 54 and 32 respectively. At the end of 20 overs RCB managed to score 169 losing 8 wickets. Siraj and Sai Kishore bowled exceptionally well.

170 is not a mighty target but it’s not an easy target either. Shubman Gill got out early (14 off 14) to Bhuvaneshwar’s swing. Butler and Sai Sudharsan held the pitch to gradually increase the score. RCB’s bowling team tried their best to break the partnership but could not do any damage till GT scored 107 in 12.3 overs. Hazelwood then stepped up to send Sai Sudharsan (49 off36) to the pavilion. Rutherford joined hands with Butler to go all out attack. Butler smashed and punished every bad delivery. It was an easy win as GT reached the target in just 17.5 overs.
RCB looked strong but they made a few mistakes in underestimating GT’s bowling prowess.
