Match Summary – RR vs KKR
RR vs KKR was one of the best contests in recent years. But this season’s game was a bit of a one-sided contest. What went wrong in Rajastan Royals? Let’s dive deep into it

Match Summary
KKR started the game without their star player Sunil Narine. Which for sure is great news for the Royals. But RR’s batting lineup folded to the KKR’s spin attack. Samson lost his wicket early to Vaibhav Arora’s swing. Varun Chakravarthy did not take much time to start doing the damage. He got rid of Captain Riyan Parag and Hasaranga in back to back overs. On the other end Moeen Ali made sure that his team did not miss their star spinner Narine by getting rid of the dangerous Jaiswal and Nitish Rana. Now that the Top order and middle order is done, the lower order was handed to the pace attack to be taken care of. Harshit Rana, Vaibhar Arora and Spencer Johnson took care of them perfectly to restrict the royals to just 151 runs by the end of 20 overs.
152 in this era of IPL is nothing but a cake walk for any team. Moeen Ali and De Kock opened for KKR. Moeen is definitely not Narine. He struggled to even meet the baal until he got run out but Parag. Then came Rahane who was extremely slow in getting runs on the board. On the other end De Kock was firing all around the pitch. Rahane who was struggling to get hold of the ball got out in Hasaranga’s delivery. Then came Raghuvanshi who gave De Kock an amazing partnership. Except for Captain Parag and Theekshana every other bowler went for a lot. De Kock scored a whopping 97 of just 61 deliveries to take the team past the finish line.
Rajasthan Royals have problems all around the field. Two hit or miss players as the openers, unreliable middle order, less promising lower orders, venom-less bowling attack and much more. Playoffs 2025 will only be a dream for this squad if they don’t turn up.
