Most notably, Kuldeep Yadav’s consistent form has elevated him to second on the wicket-takers list, just one behind the long-standing leader Noor Ahmad. Meanwhile, on the batting front, several players are closing in on the top three, adding pressure as the league intensifies.

🔥 Purple Cap Race: Kuldeep Eyes the Top Spot

Noor Ahmad has held the Purple Cap firmly with 12 wickets, but Kuldeep Yadav‘s 1/33 against RR has brought him within touching distance, taking his tally to 11 wickets from just six matches. The left-arm wrist spinner continues to bamboozle batters with his variations, once again proving that wrist spin is a weapon in T20 cricket.

Three other bowlers have also joined Kuldeep on 11 wickets, but they have played one more match than him:

The Orange Cap race remains intense, with Nicholas Pooran of Lucknow Super Giants leading the chart with 288 runs from five matches, boasting a strike rate of 168.23. Close on his heels is B Sai Sudharsan of Gujarat Titans, who has amassed 273 runs in five matches, including a recent 82-run innings that contributed to a commanding total of 217-6

Mitchell Marsh, also from Lucknow Super Giants, holds the third position with 265 runs, showcasing consistent performances with four half-centuries in five innings.

KL Rahul of Delhi Capitals has moved up to the seventh spot after scoring 38 runs in the recent match, bringing his total to 238 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal of Rajasthan Royals follows closely with 233 runs, including his third half-century of the season. Sanju Samson, also from Rajasthan Royals, is at the ninth position with 224 runs.
