His unbeaten 57 off 41 balls* led the Delhi Capitals to a confident eight-wicket victory and reasserted his status as one of the most consistent T20 performers in the league.
The match was not without emotional subtext. Rahul, who was released by LSG earlier this year after a high-profile fallout with team management, looked poised and calm throughout his innings. The right-hander hit the winning runs with a six—an emphatic statement of both skill and self-assurance.
To top it off, KL Rahul reached the milestone of 5,000 IPL runs, becoming the fastest player in history to do so in just 130 innings, surpassing the likes of Virat Kohli and David Warner.
